It has been several months ago that SC had a challenge with Gamsol Magic. I had never tried this before so I copied the tutorial and got the necessary supplies. This is the card that I created with this technique. With a little more practice this can be a very interesting technique. Thanks for stopping by today.

Nature is the Art of God
This card is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 inches. The tag is stippled, stamped and tree punched. Double sided adhesive was put behind the tree and gold leafing added. It was then layered on a green piece of card stock and trimmed in shape of tag. Fibers were then added to tag. Card was stamped with leaves in Versamark. I taught this technique at Make and Take at Artful Legacy in Surfside Beach. At this time of year it is a great embellishment for fall cards. Thanks for stopping by today.

Vickie's Card Class
Vickie Meadows held another great card class at Artful Legacy. These are a few of her cards that we made. Reminding us of the time of year it is and all the sights and sounds that go along with fall. It is a time to give thanks for all the blessing we have been given. It is a time for family and friends. I can not forget the turkey. My birthday just happens to be on Thanksgiving Day this year. Oh, the years to go by fast.

Happy Birthday
This is a very interesting technique. This was made in Vicki Meadows card class at Artful Legacy this month. Alcohol inks are dabbed on glossy white paper 4 X 5 1/4 inches. After the inks dry Cuddlebug the Birthday folder on paper. Apply brown Stazon on paper by running pad over piece. Brown adheres to the raised areas. Adhere this to black card front and brown card. Birthday stamp is stamped on white 1 1/8 in. circle and attached to 1 1/4 in. brown circle and then to 1 1/2 in. black circle.
Ship on Vellum
I think this ship is great for a male card. It is stamped on vellum in black Brilliance. The dots and birds are stamped on the white underneath. It is then layered with black and gray on a black card 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 inches. This was cased from a card by Vicki Meadows. This is an Artful Legacy stamp. Thanks for stopping by.

This card is made using stamps by Artful Legacy. The green card 4 1/2 X 11. Folded at 5 1/2 inches. It is layered with a stripe of turquoise that is dotted and dashed with white gel pen. The stamped images are stamped in turquoise ink. The butterfly is cut out and pop dotted on two same size squares scalloped. One is white shaded with turquoise ink and the other is punched out of the same green card stock as the card. A ribbon with all the colors was added to finish the card. Thanks for stopping by.
Robin's Angel Card
This is the card we made in our Seaside Stampers Club today. Robin Fazakerly was the project leader. She provided the stamp and paper and we used our creativity to complete the card. The card is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 . The purple background is 5 1/4 X 4. The angel was cut down after stamped and colored. Other supplies include corner rounder, corner punches and heart crystals. Great job Robin!

Young Boy Raises Funds for SPCABy Lori Verni, Staff WriterThursday, September 27, 2007 8:52 PM EDT
Most adults are aware of the pet overpopulation problem and the need for people to adopt dogs, contribute to animal welfare and be responsible pet owners. Most pet lovers try to do their part in one way or another and a very exceptional young man has also started making a big difference for animals in spite of his youth.Trey Russell, a ten year old resident of Fuquay-Varina, recently completed his second annual fundraiser for the SPCA of Wake County. Trey is an animal lover; his favorite animal being his dog, Patience, whom he adopted from the SPCA of Wake County four years ago. After receiving some fund-raising campaign materials in the mail from SPCA last year, Trey felt the need to do something to help the hundreds of animals the SPCA of Wake County provides assistance to each year. He contacted friends and family via e-mail, asking them for their help and by the end of last summer had raised over $250.Building on last summer's success, Trey decided to continue the tradition and worked diligently to meet his summer 2007 goal of $300."Trey's annual fundraiser not only raises money that directly helps the animals in the care of the SPCA of Wake County, but it also informs the people he knows about the issues facing animals in our community like overpopulation, cruelty and neglect," said Vanessa Budnick, SPCA of Wake County's Humane Educator. "I think that the message of Trey's hard work is that you are never too young to help your community. The animals at the SPCA of Wake County are lucky to have a friend like Trey Russell helping them."Trey is the son of proud parents Jay and Dawn Russell and is a fifth grader at Wake Christian Academy.

Five New Cards
Saturday we made five cards with Linda Adams at Artful Legacy. All the cards used Artful Legacy stamps. The first two are Just a Note embossed in the Cuttlebug and the other is Take time to enjoy the simply things in life.
These three are two birthday cards and a thank you card. It may be hard to see in the pictures but the Cuttlebug was used to emboss on all of these cards.
Card Making Supplies
A group from my church is going to Niccaragua and they have made a wish list to take with them to the House of Hope. On this list is Card making supplies.
Card stock or other heavy paper
Rubber stamps
Envelopes
Glue
Ribbons or other fabric trim
I know I have a lot of supplies that I can send but I thought I would ask my stamping buddies if they would like to donate to a good cause. Just let me know, if you would like to contribute. I have to turn everything in by Sunday, October 14th.
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stamping!

Card Holders
Just thought I would add a picture of the card holders that I have been making. They are large clothes pins that I purchased at AC Moore. They are great to put a card in to hold while doing a class or to show off in your crafting room. I know my friends from the UK call them something else besides clothes pins but can't remember what it is now. Hope you are enjoying your weekend and doing a lot of stamping. I have been playing around on my blog and moving things around and adding to it. Hope you like the changes. Thanks for stopping by.

Play Time with Friends
Yesterday was a fun day with my friends at Artful Legacy. We had a play day and made some fun cards. This one is a little ghostly but cute. Stamps are by Angel Company. Of course we had to put a little stickles on the ghosts. We also challenged Vicki Meadows with a stamp and to come up with a card in ten minutes and teach it to us. I think she did right well with these cute houses.

Christmas in August
Well today was a very productive day, stamping wise. I went to a 5 card class by Linda Adams at Artful Legacy. The link to Artful Legacy is on the right. As I said we made 5 really cute Christmas Cards as you can see in the picture. All the stamps are either Artful Legacy's own stamps or stamps that can be purchased through them. I missed my stamping buddy today that usually takes classes with me but she had to go to NC to check on her mother who is 88 years old. We are in three and sometimes four stamp clubs together. We get together and stamp with each other too. As you stampers know there is always time to stamp. We don't need an excuse.
